About Echological
Echological is a family run consultancy, run by David & Taryn Byett and based in Basingstoke, Hampshire.
With 15 years Experience in Ecology with a focus on Bats, Newts and Dormouse - David is a Full CIEEM member, with a Natural England survey licences in bats (Level 3 & 4), Dormouse (Level 1) & Great Crested Newt (Level 1) and is CS38 Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue certified.
David's passion is for wildlife conservation with a particular interest in bats including radio tracking, harp/mist net trapping and bat box checks. He is a member of several local bat groups and has also visited primary schools to encourage a keen interest in conservation in future generations.
Taryn has an extensive background in account management, including diary and business management of engineers and dealing with front end client relations.
Taryn's passion is for the great outdoors and in particular getting kids to engage with nature, she organizes school events, takes their 3 mini ecologists (one pictured) on adventures around the UK, and spends a lot of time in the Highlands.
